Friday, September 3. Fall Main Street Marketplace. The Main Street Marketplace is an open-air market featuring fresh produce, baked goods, photography, books, local art, unique gifts, handmade crafts, entertainment and much more. Fridays in September & October | 10a.m.-2 p.m. | Free. Visit City Center for more information.

Friday, September 3. Village Artists First Friday. The public is invited to attend a wine and cheese reception with live music and meet Howard Hunt, Rachel Parker, Mary Hartfield, and Georgette Wright Sanders, four award winning artists. Friday, September 3-Sunday, September 5. Lavell Crawford Live. Crawford has appeared on numerous tv shows including Def Comedy Jam, BET's Comicview, Premium Blend, The Jamie Foxx Show, Showtime at Apollo, Last Comic Standing and Chelsea Lately with hilarious stand-up act. Catch him at the Comedy House Theatre this weekend.

Saturday, September 4. SC Pride 2010 Parade & Festival. Head to Finlay Park for the largest annual gathering of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender South Carolinians. The parade starts at noon and there will be live performances by Taylor Dayne, Janice Robinson, Pandora Boxx, Danielle Howell, Cris Williams, and other local entertainers. Saturday, September 4-Monday, September 6. Chapin Labor Day Festival. "Let Freedom Ring” is the theme this year and there will be a great parade, 5K Run/Walk, children's activities, a picnic, Chapin Idol, a Classic Car Show, AMROC model train display, Gospel Concert, food, fun and so much more! Monday, September 6. Labor Day Family Fun Day! This Family Fun Day will feature the Pantasia Steel Drum Band, face painting, a bounce house, swimming in the indoor pool, a barnyard petting zoo, and lots of food! 1-4 pm. Thursday, September 9. Whine and Dine with Your Canine. Join Pawmetto Lifeline, The Melting Pot, and Pupcakes for wine and fondue while your pup samples gourmet yappetizers. Thursday, September 9. Bar Stool Classic. This Thursday the Five Points Association, in conjunction with The Babcock Center, will be hosting an Inaugural Bar Stool Classic: a nine bar, putt-putt, "Pub Crawl" through Five Points. All proceeds of this event will go to the The Babcock Center Foundation for their commitment in helping adults with disabilities. The crawl will last from 5-9 pm throughout participating bars and will be followed by an After Party at Group Therapy on their newly renovated deck. Visit Five Points for more information.

American folk artist and critically acclaimed singer songwriter of New York, Richard Buckner, will be performing a number of songs from his best-selling album, Meadow.
