Have you seen them? You know - those alien-looking yellow clouds blowing across the Midlands these past couple of weeks? Winter is (hopefully) finally over and here come the beautiful flowers and blooming trees, along with their means of procreation. Yes, plant love (aka pollen) is everywhere. Can you hear the sneezing? Why, I think I even have pollen in my shoes!


Ah, 'tis the season - of sneezing, watery eyes, and yellow, yellow, everywhere! Well, I'm off to find some local honey to help build my immunity to those pesky alien clouds ...or so I've been told.

Buyers Remorse, Winter Blues?

 

I must say this is the longest cold streak I have experienced since moving to Maryland 15 years ago. Hopefully it will be the one with the least mosquitoes on the Eastern Shore in 9 years. Wow, 9 years .. hard to believe. We looked for our house for 5 years! Almost consequtively. How about you? Are you looking? Have you looked for a home to buy and backed out? Called Buyer's Remorse. I know you hear it all the time, but now is really a good time to buy. 

Sellers are motivated, some have held on to their properties longer than they expected. So, now they are ready, ready to sell ready to move on with their lives and let you have your little slice of heaven. Interest rates are still very low, I heard of one lender who had 3.25% interest rate! It was a 15 year mortgage, though. As we said at our First Time Homebuyer seminar, try to take a 30 year mortgage though. If you can lock in your interest rate for 30 years, you could make a few hundred dollars extra towards the principal, and be done in 15 years, too. But, if for some reason you were to be in a bind... you still would only have to make the lower payment. Makes sense, right?
